Our Vision

The Somerscience Trust is a charitable organisation with a clear vision: to spark curiosity, confidence, and connection with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) across Somerset.
 
We bring this vision to life through the Somerscience Festival – a community-led, annual celebration of discovery, alongside a programme of engaging events throughout the year. Together, these showcase the exciting STEM research, innovation, and industries thriving locally, connecting the public with academics, businesses, and innovators.
 
Our goal is to make STEM accessible and inspiring for everyone: encouraging curiosity at every age, empowering people to engage with scientific ideas and decisions, and inspiring young people and career-changers to explore the many possibilities within STEM.
