The Somerscience Trust inspires people of all ages and backgrounds to discover, explore, and engage with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Through the Somerscience Festival, and a growing programme of community engagement events, we work to break down barriers and make STEM accessible to everyone.
Each year, our Festival reaches thousands of people across Somerset, with many experiencing hands-on, immersive STEM activities free of charge. Our work is designed to build science capital – the knowledge, confidence, attitudes, and experiences that enable people to engage with science in their everyday lives, contribute to a science-literate society, and take part in shaping a better future.
With financial support from your trust or foundation, we can expand the reach and impact of our work – removing financial and physical barriers and ensuring that marginalised and underserved communities have meaningful opportunities to engage with STEM.
