Making the Somerscience Festival accessible and enjoyable for everyone

We want your visit to the Somerscience Festival at the Bath & West Showground to be as enjoyable and accessible as possible. Our commitment is to create an inclusive experience for all visitors, and we always welcome your feedback on how we can improve.

At the end of each Festival, our visitor survey collects valuable insights about your experience, including whether your access needs were met. This feedback is shared with our festival team and helps shape future planning and programming.

We also welcome comments and suggestions year-round. To share your thoughts or experiences with the team, please contact us at:

On the day accessibility:
All avenues have hard surfaces, and all buildings, toilets and shower facilities can be accessed with ease, making your day out with us an enjoyable experience.

We listened – we are making sure this year, the space is bigger, the aisles are wider, to ensure everyone can access the stands during the festival.

Join us for a special SEND Hour from 4-5 PM in the latter part of the festival, designed to provide a calmer, quieter environment so children with special educational needs or sensitivities to crowds can explore, learn, and enjoy STEM activities comfortably.
